Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and SHOTT. By creating an account or using any part of the SHOTT app or website, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) and that you accept these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at support@getshott.app.

You may have only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or gain unfair advantages is prohibited.

3. Content you submit

Your ownership. You own the photos you take and submit. SHOTT does not claim ownership of your content.

License to SHOTT. By submitting content, you grant SHOTT a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, and distribute that content within the app for the purpose of operating the challenge feed, leaderboards, and social features. This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

Your responsibility. You represent that you have the right to share any content you post, and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights (including copyright, privacy, and publicity rights).

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit photos you did not take, or that belong to someone else without permission
• Post content that violates our Community Standards
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to SHOTT
• Use SHOTT to harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Manipulate scores, votes, or rankings through artificial means
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use SHOTT for any commercial purpose without written permission

5. Challenges and points

Challenge rules, point values, and streak mechanics are set by SHOTT and may change at any time. Points and rankings have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred. SHOTT may correct errors in scores if a technical issue occurred.

Mystery challenge timers begin the moment you reveal the prompt. This is enforced server-side and cannot be disputed.

6. Head-to-head duels

Both participants must accept the duel terms at time of entry. In the event of a tie, no points are awarded to either party. Duel outcomes are final once judged.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms or our Community Standards. You may delete your account at any time in the app settings. Upon termination, your license to use SHOTT ends immediately.

8. Disclaimers

SHOTT is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times or that leaderboards and rankings will be error-free. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SHOTT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app — including loss of points, rankings, or submitted content due to technical failures.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SHOTT is registered. Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration where permitted, or in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance. For material changes, we will notify you in-app.
